Spectrum & Verizon Fios Are The Fastest Internet Services Providers According to Netflix

For some time now Netflix has been posting the best Internet service providers for Netflix streaming. Now according to that list when looking at major Internet providers, Spectrum and Verizon Fios are tied for the fastest speeds.

According to the report, Verizon Fios and Spectrum both average 4.52 Mbps down when streaming Netflix. Here are the top 10 Internet service providers according to Netflix:

  1. Verizon Fios 4.52 Mbps
  2. Spectrum 4.52 Mbps
  3. Cox 4.50 Mbps
  4. Comcast 4.49 Mbps
  5. Optimum 4.46 Mbps
  6. AT&T – U-verse 4.37 Mbps
  7. Mediacom 4.36 Mbps
  8. Suddenlink 4.36 Mbps
  9. Frontier 3.90 Mbps
  10. Verizon DSL 3.85 Mbps

Here is how Netflix describes how it breaks down the best Internet service providers:

The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of prime time Netflix performance on particular ISPs (internet service providers) around the globe, and not a measure of overall performance for other services/data that may travel across the specific ISP network.

Google Fiber came in 22nd overall and a company called Rise Broadband was the fastest Internet service provider that exclusively offered wireless Internet. Verizon DSL was the fastest DSL Internet from a provider that only offers DSL with 3.85 Mbps download speed.
