Spectrum is Doubling Internet Starting Speeds to 200 Mbps in All Markets

Charter Communications, Inc. announced its upping internet speeds for all of its flagship Spectrum Internet service customers. The starting speed is now 200 Mbps in all markets, matching the availability of the company’s 400 Mbps and gigabit plans across virtually its entire 41-state service area.

The starting internet speeds will be doubled to 200 Mbps for nearly 3 million homes in in 33 markets including the following communities:

The faster speeds are currently available to new customers who sign up. The company will increase speeds for current subscribers in the coming weeks.

“Beginning today, 200 Mbps is the starting speed of Spectrum Internet in every market we serve,” said Carl Leuschner, Senior Vice President, Internet & Voice Products at Charter. “We are doubling starting speeds available to millions of additional homes, providing even more speed for streaming, remote work, and staying connected with family and friends — with no modem fees, data caps or contracts.”
