Charter Communications, Inc. the parent company of Spectrum and Comcast announced today a multi-year exclusive agreement with T-Mobile to provide mobile services to their business customers across the United States. The service, set to launch in 2026, will operate under Charter’s Spectrum Mobile for Business and Comcast’s Comcast Business Mobile brands.
This partnership establishes a long-term relationship, enabling Charter and Comcast to leverage T-Mobile’s advanced mobile network, recognized for leading customer growth over the past five years. The collaboration aims to enhance the companies’ existing leadership in delivering integrated wireline and wireless solutions, supported by the nation’s largest and fastest broadband and WiFi networks.
Omar Tazi, T-Mobile’s EVP and Chief Product and Digital Officer, highlighted the mutual benefits of the agreement. “T-Mobile is pleased to work with Charter and Comcast to deliver their U.S. business customers connectivity on the mobile network with more new customer growth than any other network over the past five years,” Tazi said. “This partnership complements what our T-Mobile for Business group already offers and expands the reach of T-Mobile’s network to even more business customers beyond those we currently serve.”
Edward Zimmermann, President of Comcast Business, emphasized the strategic value of the partnership. “Comcast Business delivers advanced, converged solutions to business customers by uniting the scale of our nationwide WiFi network, gig-plus speeds, and the integration of top-tier 5G mobile capabilities,” Zimmermann stated. “Our capital-light partnership with T-Mobile further strengthens our growth strategy in wireless for business customers.”
Since launching their mobile services in 2017 and 2018, Comcast and Charter have grown to serve over 18 million residential and business mobile lines. T-Mobile, a leader in the MVNO space with over 20 years of experience, will provide wholesale mobile connectivity exclusively for Charter and Comcast’s business customers under this agreement. The companies’ existing MVNO partnerships will continue to support their residential and current business customers.
The partnership builds on Charter and Comcast’s existing infrastructure, which includes in-home and out-of-home WiFi, proprietary 5G networks using CBRS spectrum, and multiple MVNO cellular networks. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen the competitive position of all three companies in the business connectivity market, offering enhanced mobile solutions to meet the growing demands of U.S. businesses.
