SpaceX is set to launch a new set of 57 Starlink satellites from Cape Canaveral, Florida, today keep building its internet project. The last group of Starlink satellites took off last month. SpaceX will continue scheduling missions to build its constellation of satellites, until reaching a total of 1,584 satellites for this phase.

The satellite launch is scheduled for 11:59 AM ET from a launchpad at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, weather permitting.

Here’s how to watch:

Recently, astronomers have raised concerns that the satellite’s brightness may interfere with their observations of the Universe, obstructing long-exposure images and reflecting too much light to properly study constellations, etc.

To address this problem, SpaceX tried coating the satellites with a dark color to dampen the light reflecting capabilities, but that wasn’t sufficient. This latest batch of satellites employs a brand new feature known as a sunshade to help prevent sunlight from reflecting off shiny antennas and other parts of the spacecraft. This will help them appear less noticeable from Earth in the night sky, making them reflect as little light as possible. This will be the first time the entire fleet of Starlink Satellites sport this deployable visor. If this remedy doesn’t darken the satellites enough, SpaceX may have to go back to the drawing board to find a new solution.
