Update: Today’s launch was delayed due to a recovery issue. It has been rescheduled for tomorrow, September 18 at 1:57 pm, weather permitting.

SpaceX has another launch scheduled for Thursday afternoon, adding 60 more Starlink satellites to the constellation. The launch is scheduled for 2:19 pm ET, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The launch will use a Falcon 9 booster which has been used in two other SpaceX missions before today.

You can watch the launch live on the SpaceX website. The webcast will begin about 10 minutes before liftoff, and the Starlink satellites will deploy about an hour after liftoff.

SpaceX currently has over 500 satellites in orbit. SpaceX has a goal to bring high speed, low cost internet throughout the US and the world. After early speed test results from beta tests surfaced in August, the company confirmed the results earlier this month.

“In initial tests of Starlink, the team has been collecting latency data and performing standard speed tests of the system,” SpaceX wrote on Twitter. “Results from these tests have shown super low latency and download speeds greater than 100 megabytes per second – fast enough to stream multiple HD movies at once and still have bandwidth to spare.”
