Tonight, fans will not be going down to South Park for a new episode after creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone just gave fans the kind of blunt, self-aware apology you’d expect. The creators could not meet the episode’s deadline in time, so tonight’s broadcast has been pushed back.
In a statement regarding the episode that was originally scheduled for tonight, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said the following: “Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don’t get it done. This one’s on us. We didn’t get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!”
Fans can tune in to Comedy Central on Wednesday, September 24, at 10:00 PM ET for the newest episode. Despite the delay, Paramount announced the show’s calendar for the remainder of the year on the following Wednesdays: October 15, October 29, November 12, November 26, and December 10. In addition to Comedy Central, cord cutters can watch their favorite South Park episodes on demand with Paramount+.
2025 has been a noteworthy year for the long-running series. Last month, the boundary-pushing animated show, celebrated 28 years since its premiere and became a cultural phenomenon. The anniversary came one month after Parker and Stone reached a new $1.5 billion streaming deal that brought Paramount+ the global streaming rights for the series.
