Sony Pictures Television and WarnerMedia Extend Content Deal to Bring ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and More to HBO Max

WarnerMedia has extended its existing content deal with Sony Pictures Television open the door for more films to come to HBO platforms, including Spider-Man No Way Home, to HBO Max and streaming on HBO Channels in Europe.

“The extended partnership with Sony Pictures Television allows us to make available even more fantastic titles for audiences to enjoy as part of a rich, diverse and compelling offer,” said Hannes Heyelmann, Executive Vice President, Programming, WarnerMedia EMEA.

The extended deal will give WarnerMedia rights to more Sony Pictures films, including Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Venom: Let There Be CarnageUnchartered and Morbius, along with features such as Happiest SeasonThe Broken Hearts Gallery and Monster Hunter.

“As our industry navigates its way out of the pandemic, it is fantastic to consolidate our relationship with our partners at WarnerMedia through this new expanded deal across Central Europe,” said Mark Young, Executive Vice President, Networks & Distribution, Sony Pictures Television EMEA. “It is a tremendous way to present the breadth of the SPE features and television series including the biggest and most anticipated new release titles on our slate.”

The deal spans territories where HBO Go will be morphing into HBO Max next month including including Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and North Macedonia.
