Sony Outlines More Streaming Services Heading to PlayStation 5 in November

A new blog post from Sony sheds more light on the types of streaming services we can expect when the next-generation PlayStation 5 launches in November. We learned about a few of these a month ago thanks to updated images of the PS5’s remote control, but this latest post adds some big names expected to be available on the console’s Nov. 12th launch.

Here’s the current list:

Sony also added that Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu, and Peacock are also coming to the PS5, alongside others that weren’t specifically mentioned in the blog post. And while many of these will be available day one when the console launches, the company said users can expect more to join the lineup in the future.

Of note, Sony says gamers can expect a “deeply integrated Twitch experience” where you can watch of livestream gameplay and chat with others. Meanwhile, the PS5’s YouTube app will allow you to share gameplay directly to your YouTube channel.

Streaming apps will get a dedicated space within the PS5’s revamped user experience. The company’s calling it the Media space and it’ll be located next to the Game home screen. Sony also pointed out its upcoming media remote could come in handy for those looking to use their new console as a streaming entertainment device as well.
