Sony is Ending Crackle Support for Some Devices

Sony is ending support of the free streaming service Crackle on several devices.

The company posted the following notice on their website on November 25.

Dear Valued Sony Customer,

On December 11, 2019, availability of the Crackle Service will end on Sony® Blu-ray Disc™ players and non-Android internet TVs in the United States.

After that you will no longer be able to access Crackle content using your Sony Blu-ray Disc player or non-Android internet TV.

It’s important to note that Crackle will not be shutting down. This change only applies to the devices listed in the notice above.

To find out if a device you’re currently using will be affected by this change, visit the Sony website where the notice can be found. Above the notice, click on the drop down menu titled Applicable Products and Categories of This Article for a full list of devices that will no longer be able to use Crackle.
