Sling’s Spotlight Feature Ensures You’ll Never Miss a Major Event

Sling TV wants to be sure you never miss a big game or a major event, with their new Spotlight feature. The feature was made to highlight must-see programming within your Sling TV subscription, making it easy to watch and record the most popular live TV events, without have to search or navigate to the right channel.

Here’s how Sling describes the new feature: In the days leading up to live, high-profile events, Slingers using Android TV and Amazon Fire TV devices will start to see a banner on the “Sports” screen within the Sling TV app. Users can save an event to their favorites directly from the banner and visit the “Details” page to schedule a recording for later. If the marquee event is already in progress, subscribers can click on the banner to watch it in real time.

The new feature comes just in time for this weekend’s NBA All Star Game. The weekend’s events will air on TNT, which you can watch with your Sling subscription. Future events that will be highlighted with Sling’s Spotlight include the NCAA Tournament, the 2020 NBA Playoffs, the 146th Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, 2020 Summer Olympics and UEFA EURO 2020.
