Sling TV’s President Thinks AT&T is Being “Anti-Competitive”

Back when AT&T was in trial with the DOJ fighting to buy Time Warner Sling TV’s President Warren Schlichting testified against the merger. Today at the Pay-TV Show he said he thinks the fears raised back during that trial have come true AT&T is being “anti-competitive.”

How exactly AT&T is being anti-competitive was not disclosed but Sling TV and its parent company Dish have been fighting with AT&T over HBO.

AT&T now owns Time Warner networks like CNN and Cartoon Network under the Warner Media brand. Many have feared that AT&T would use their ownership of things like HBO, TNT, and more to unfairly benefit AT&T services like DIRECTV NOW over ones like Sling TV. During the talk, Warren Schlichting said it seams many of the fears are becoming a reality.

Warren Schlichting did talk more about Sling TV and how it needs to listen to its subscribers and focus on what they want.
