So we decided to survey our readers to see what they use. Over the last few days we surveyed more than 1,000 of our readers to find out what service they use. The truth seems to be that there is no clear favorite service among cord cutters.
The following is a breakdown of what live TV service cord cutters use:
- Sling TV: 26.5%
- PlayStation Vue: 26.2%
- DIRECTV NOW: 25.5%
When it comes down to it, no one service is perfect for everyone. That is the beauty of cord cutting. You get to pick the service that is right for you, not just what happens to be available at that moment like you did with cable TV.
The real question now is how will Hulu TV and YouTube TV impact the uneasy balance that Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and DIRECTV NOW have. At some point the market is likely to get oversaturated with services and some will likely fail; however, we are still likely far from that point and the new competition will only help cord cutters.
