Sling TV Takes Aim at DIRECTV NOW With New Offer

Last November DIRECTV NOW came on the market with an offer that had the most channels at the lowest price.

Now Sling TV is firing back with a new deal that will give more channels at the same or lower price than what DIRECTV NOW is promoting.

Sling TV accomplished this by offering a bundle of Kids Extra, Comedy Plus Extra, News Extra, and Lifestyle Plus Extra packages all for just $10. That means you can add 40 channels to your package for $10.

Now Sling users can get 70 channels for just $30 a month. Compare that to DIRECTV NOW, which charges $35 a month for the same package.

You could also add the Sports Extra to this deal and get 80 channels for just $35 a month. To get 80 channels with DIRECTV NOW you would have to pay $50.

“Most people tell us they don’t want the ‘big, bigger, biggest’ bundles that come with old-TV packaging like cable and DirecTV Now. But, as more consumers leave traditional pay-TV services, we’re seeing a growing consumer segment that is looking for a bigger channel lineup. Because of your feedback, we created a multi-Extra discount for everyone who wants a big channel lineup without the ‘Old TV’ model. With our new ‘4 Extras Deal,’ you can now subscribe to four Extras: Kids Extra, Lifestyle Plus Extra, Comedy Plus Extra and News Extra, all for just $10 per month (previously $20 per month). Families now benefit from best-in-class programming at an industry-leading price,” said Gleen Eisen, chief marketing officer at Sling TV.

This new $10 deal will give you access to the following channels:

Kids Extra: Disney Junior, Disney XD, Nickjr., Nicktoons, Teennick, Boomerang, Sling Kids, Baby TV, and DuckTV.

Comedy Plus Extra: MTV, TruTV, Spike TV, MTV 2, CMT, Logo, GSN, and TV Land.

News Extra: BBC World News, TheBlaze, HLN, Fusion, Euronews, France24, News18, NDTV 24×7, RT, and CGTN.

Lifestyle Plus Extra: VH1, BET, Cooking Channel, Diy, Fyi, Hallmark Channel, WE TV, LMN, Hallmark Movies, Vibrant, and Living Network.
