Sling TV Is Rolling Out Several New Features to Their Roku Channel

Last week Sling TV updated their Roku Channel with several new features. Not all Roku devices have been updated, but Sling TV says by the end of next week all Roku users should have the new Sling TV app.

Here is a quick look at these new features in action:

Mini Guide

If you hit up on your Roku remote, it will bring up a newly updated mini guide. Making it easy to quickly scan what is one and still watch your show.

Quick Return

Ever want to see what is on but don’t want to stop your stream? Now with Sling TV if you are streaming a show you can go back to the guide but not stop your stream. You will be able to browse the guide, see what is coming up, and jump back to the show without having to reload the stream.

To jump back to your show, just click the play button to return to the last channel you watched.

Last Channels

If you are a sports fan you probably know the pain of jumping around between three or four games on streaming services. Now Sling TV has added the ability to view the last few channels you watched.

When you are watching a show, just hit the OK button on your remote. From there you can select “Last Channels” and you will see the most recent channels you watched.

Not all Roku’s have the new Sling TV update yet. Sling says the update is still rolling out and will be available on all Rokus by the end of next week.
