If you are a Sling TV subscriber and own a Fire TV, Fire Stick, or an Android TV device, check for a big update.

The update is meant to address many of the complaints users have had with the old Sling TV apps being slow and hard to use. “Similar to the previous week’s updates, the biggest difference subscribers will see on these devices is the new channels guide. The new guide makes it easier to navigate our content, so you can start watching live programming, on-demand shows, or movies even faster,” said Ben Weinberger chief product officer at Sling TV.

This is not only an update for the user interface, but the update also packs a lot of bug fixes that should help improve Sling TV’s performance. There have been some noticeable improvements in performance when we tested out the new update.

This is the second rollout of the new user interface and update. Last week Xbox One, Macs, PCs, and Android mobile devices all received an update with the new user interface and bug fixes. Hopefully other devices like the Roku will receive a Sling TV update shortly.

Sling TV is asking anyone with feedback or who finds a bug in the new update to email feedback@sling.com or tweet @BenSlingTV or @SlingAnswers with their feedback.
