Sling TV has increased the price of both its Sling Orange and Sling Blue packages by $5, bringing the price of each to $35/month. The combination of Sling Orange and Sling Blue will cost new customers $50/month, up from $45/month.

With the price increase, Sling TV is upping the amount of Cloud DVR storage with each plan. Previously, subscribers had 10 hours of DVR storage included. Now, plans come with 50 hours of DVR storage with the option to upgrade to 200 hours.

Sling is also still offering an intro deal for $10 off your first month of the service. Right now, you can sign up for $25 for your first month. New customers can also get a 3 day free trial before signing up.

The increase is for new customers only. Existing subscribers have their current pricing locked in until this summer. In July, Sling announced a 1 Year Price Guarantee for all existing customers and for those who signed up for a subscription by August 1, 2020. The price guarantee is in place until August 1, 2021.

The 1 Year Price Guarantee went into effect as a response to price increases for YouTube TV and fuboTV the week before.

“We believe now is not the time to make our customers choose between staying informed and entertained, and putting dinner on the table. Our hope is this 1-Year Price Guarantee will bring a sense of much needed stability in a time that feels uncertain to us all,” said Michael Schwimmer, Group President, Sling TV when the guarantee was announced.
