Sling TV Now Has More Than 60,000 On-Demand Titles

Today Sling TV has confirmed to Cord Cutters News that they now have over 60,000 on-demand titles.

This comes as Sling TV announced yesterday that they have teamed up with The Film Detective to bring their library of over 3,000 movie titles to Sling TV’s Hollywood Extra channel. Now Sling TV subscribers will be able to watch The Film Detective library of movies on-demand through their Sling TV app.

Sling TV has also struck deals to bring content previously limited to network apps to the Sling TV app. One example would be Sling TV offering every Simpsons episode something you typically need the FX app for.

This puts Sling TV well ahead of most of their competitors when looking at the number of on-demand titles. AT&T’s DIRECTV NOW service recently announced that they have 25,000 titles. The top service with the most on-demand is Hulu. Hulu offer the most on-demand by giving their live TV subscribers access to their full on-demand library gives them the most content.

Increasingly the battle for best live TV streaming service is moving away from the number of channels to the features that are offered. From DVRs to on-demand titles streaming services are looking for new ways to attract subscribers.
