Sling TV Launches on Xfinity Flex

Comcast announced today that the Sling TV app is now available on Flex devices. Flex customers can now access all of Sling TV’s packages. Prior to this update, Flex customers could access all of Sling’s international channels.

Flex launched in 2019 with a goal of providing a video option for internet-first customers. Xfinity Flex is a voice-controlled 4K streaming device that aggregates subscriptions in one location, making it easier to find and launch content.

Flex is free for internet-only customers, with one device included free with an internet plan. The platform integrates over 200 streaming services and more than 10,000 free shows and movies all accessible via Xfinity’s Voice Remote.

Sling will join a lineup of apps available on Flex including HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, and Pandora. Peacock is also available on Flex, with Comcast customers getting access to the app ahead of its nationwide launch on July 15.

“SLING TV is committed to providing the best live TV experience to our customers, which includes being on the devices they use most,” said Jon Lin, vice president of Product, SLING TV. “We give Slingers total control over their entertainment, and with Xfinity Flex, you can say goodbye to switching inputs in order to access live and on-demand TV from the SLING TV app alongside other popular streaming apps.”

Flex customers can sign up for Sling TV through their Flex devices or the Sling website and will be billed directly through Sling.
