Sling TV has rolled out several updates to the AirTV to bring new features. First they have added DVR support to the AirTV. They have also added many UI improvements.
New AirTV Player Features
In addition to all of the great benefits of Cloud DVR, Sling TV’s UI on AirTV Player received a major facelift. Check out the following updates now available on AirTV Player units:
- Customize local channels ribbon: Only watch a few locals? You can now remove unwanted over-the-air (OTA) channels from your local channel lineup by selecting “Edit” at the end of the Local Channels ribbon, or by scrolling all the way to the bottom of My TV, selecting the “Sling TV Settings,” then “Local Channels,” selecting “Channel List” and choosing the channels you want to appear in your Local Channels ribbon on My TV.
- What’s On tiles: You’ll see an informational tile with an image displaying what’s on now, including any locals picked up by your OTA antenna in the guide and on My TV, instead of just seeing the logo or call letters of each channel.
- Recall: By pressing the “Recall” button on your AirTV Player remote, you can bring up the last five channels, recordings, or on-demand content watched across OTA and Sling TV channels.
- Mini guide: The refreshed mini guide allows you to browse through all of the available live content without having to miss a moment of what you’re currently watching. It takes up much less space, is lightning fast, and allows you to filter by your favorite channels and genres. Not only does it let you browse by channel, but you’ll also get a preview of what’s coming up next, and how long until the next show begins.
