Back in early 2020, TiVo announced a new 4K Android TV-powered streaming player. One of the biggest selling points of this device was that it would use TiVo’s content discovery and customer user interface to make watching your favorite programs easier in one place with the TiVo Stream 4K guide.
With the TiVo Stream 4K guide, you can find content from a vast collection of streaming services all in a single interface. Allowing you to find Netflix programming alongside Paramount+ and YouTube TV.
At launch Sling TV was built into the TiVo OS, allowing you to access Sling TV content directly from the home screen through the TiVo Stream guide now though this feature has been discontinued, according to TiVo.
Here is the message TiVo posted informing customers of the change:
Hi there, the Sling integrated program guide is no longer available in the TiVo Stream app. You can use the Sling app directly on your Stream 4K to access all your channels, content, and recordings!
Sling TV can still be used on the TiVo 4K Stream, but customers will need to use the official Sling TV app instead of having it built into their Stream TV 4K.
