Sling TV Has a New Price, New Channels, & New Features – Here is What You Need to Know

Are you new to cord cutting and looking for the right streaming service for you? Are you subscribed to a service but looking at other options? We’re here to help. In this post, we’re taking a look at Sling TV to give you the information you need before subscribing.

Plans and Pricing

When you sign up for Sling TV, you’ll choose between Sling Orange, Sling Blue, or a combination of Sling Orange + Blue. Recently, Sling TV raised their prices by $5/month. This is the first price increase subscribers have seen for Orange Blue. Sling Orange last saw a price increase in June 2018.

Sling Orange and Sling Blue each cost $30/month (after one month at a reduced price of $20). The Sling Orange + Blue combined package costs $45/month (after one month at a reduced price of $35).

Channel Lineup

Along with the price increase, Sling TV added several channels to their lineup, including Fox News and MSNBC. These are the channels you’ll get with the Sling Orange + Blue package.

Local Channels

Noticeably missing from the channel lineup are local channels. Sling recommends using an antenna to get those local channels and has a free HD antenna offer for subscribers. You can read more about that offer here.

Supported Devices

You can watch Sling TV on the following devices:

DVR

Sling TV recently made 10 hours of DVR storage space available for all users as part of a basic subscription.

Subscribers can also add Cloud DVR Plus for $5/month to record up to 50 hours of content.

Simultaneous Viewing

With Sling Orange, you can watch on one screen at once. With Sling Blue, you can watch on up to 3 devices simultaneously. With the combination package, you can watch on up to 4 screens.
