Sling TV Freestream Rolls Out New Guide, Making It Even Easier to Use

Sling TV’s Freestream ad-supported service offers more than 430 free channels and over 41,000 on-demand titles, making finding what you want difficult. But the service this week rolled out a new guide that breaks content down into categories, making finding what you want to watch easier.

The categories include sports, entertainment, news, movies, reality, true crime, and more. Clicking on one of these categories will bring up channels that relate to that topic. There is even a recent section to make it easier to jump right back to the great channel you just watched.

This is a massive improvement over its previous guide, which was just a list of hundreds of channels, making browsing a tedious and daunting task. The update should help the service become more user-friendly and help it stand out from other competitors. Unlike Sling TV, Freestream is available for free to everyone, so it’s worth giving it a shot.

Sling Freestream is available through the Sling app on Amazon, Roku, Comcast, LG, Samsung, Xbox, and Vizio devices. Sling TV Freestream continues to roll out across other major devices, providing customers a no-barrier entry point to high-quality programming without any payment or credit card required. This means you can use Sling TV Freestream without being a Sling TV customer.

We are unsure if all devices have been updated to this new guide yet. Cord Cutters News has reached out to Sling TV and will post updates as we learn more.
