Today, Canela Media announced Canela.TV is now available on Sling TV’s free ad-supported FAST service Sling Freestream, which launched earlier this year. With the addition of Canela.TV, Sling Freestream now offers over 85 free Spanish-language channels.

“We’re excited to be a part of Sling’s new Freestream service to extend the reach of Canela.TV to new audiences looking for quality content, free and in español,” said Isabel Rafferty Zavala, CEO and Founder of Canela Media. “Canela.TV has a wide range of free culturally relevant content that cannot be found on other platforms.”

Canela.TV includes over 10,000 hours of programming for all ages, including comedies, docuseries, novelas, cartoons, dramas, and action films. Additional channels Canela Telenovelas, Canela Clasicos, Canela Deportes, and Canela Cinema will also be joining Sling Freestream.

Sling Freestream users will be able to access Canela.TV’s extensive content library, ranging from Canela Original docu-series Mi Vida staring William Levy, Danny Trejo, Gaby Espino, Ludwika Paleta, Kate del Castillo, and Roselyn Sánchez, to Secretos de Villanas, a drama-filled reality series boasting the most iconic Telenovela villains of all times.

Also available are live news shows ¡PONLE CANELA! and Canela News to get up-to-date coverage of the latest entertainment and global news.

Children’s programming from Canela Kids is also included, such as the new original series SúperEllas and well-known hits Blippi and Cocomelon and Pocoyo. Sports fans will have access to the latest in sports, such as live MASL and boxing coverage as well as the newly-launched original show 100% Futbol.

Canela Media is one of the leading female and minority-owned tech-driven companies committed to “redefining digital media experiences for the Latino community” providing free access to unique, culturally relevant content. With over 50 million people watching its channels, Canela Media is the fourth-largest Hispanic ad-focused company.

Sling Freestream is currently available through the Sling app on all Roku devices with plans to debut on Comcast, LG, Samsung, Vizio, and Xbox at a later, yet-to-be-released date.
