Sling TV Confirms There Will Be No Price Hike After The Discovery Deal

Yesterday Sling TV confirmed that they have struck a deal with Discovery to bring some Discovery Network channels to Sling TV. Almost instantly worry started that Sling TV would be raising their price for their Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans when Discovery channels are added.

Sling TV has confirmed to Cord Cutters News that Sling Orange and Sling Blue plans will remain $25 a month. Discovery’s CEO has said that their channels will be on both Sling Orange and Blue but Sling TV declined to comment on what channels are being added and in what packages/add-ons they will be added. That information will come later.

This deal is new, and when these channels will be added is only a guess. Also, while we know Hulu added a handful of Discovery Networks to their live TV streaming service the channels added to Sling TV may be different.

Hopefully, we will soon get full details about the deal, but this is great news for Sling TV customers: No price increase with the addition of Discovery channels on Sling TV. Cord Cutters News will post updates as soon as Sling TV releases additional details about their new deal with Discovery.
