Sling Expands Free Content to Web Browsers

Sling has just announced that they’ve expanded their free content experience to the web. Now Chrome, Safari and Edge users can easily access over 3,000 hours of free content without a credit card, base subscription, or downloading the Sling TV app.

The free experience allows consumers to access nearly 1,000 free movies and more than 4,000 free TV episodes, purchase Pay-Per-View events and movies or add premier standalone channels — such as NBA League Pass and STARZ — without a base subscription. This content experience was previously available to Amazon, Android and Roku users, Slingers can now watch Sling Free content through their web browser.

To watch, just go to watch.sling.com to view free content on Chrome (Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, Linux OS desktop or Android mobile / tablet versions supported), Safari (desktop version supported) or Edge (desktop version supported) browsers.

From the Sling Free experience, viewers can subscribe to Sling TV standalone channels from the “Add Channels & More” ribbon, upgrade to a monthly subscription by clicking the banner at the top of their “My TV” screen or continue browsing and watching free content without an account.

The free content available on Sling includes the new Flashback Fridays, with free movies available on Friday nights through February.
