Sky Announces Premium Package Including Netflix for UK Subscribers

Satellite TV provider Sky announced today that it will be offering a new premium content package for subscribers. The package will include Netflix, along with “Catch-Up TV,” BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, ”All 4,” apps like YouTube and Spotify, and more.

Sky Ultimate TV will be available on Sky Q as a £25 ($36) per month bundle. The bundle will include all of the features of Sky Signature, along with Netflix, according to a report from Digital TV Europe. The package includes a basic Netflix subscription, but subscribers can upgrade for an additional £10 ($12.82) a month.

“With the launch of Sky Ultimate TV, all our customers will get the most talked-about shows from Sky TV and Netflix for an unbeatable £25 a month. From Save Me to The Crown, you’ll get all the episodes whenever you want them, all in one place on our award-winning Sky Q box,” said Liz Wynn, managing director, Sky TV.

This news comes just a day after Sky announced a deal with Disney to bring Disney+ to subscribers when the service launches in the UK on March 24th.

“We’ve built a strong partnership with Disney over three decades and we’re pleased that our customers in the UK and Ireland can continue to enjoy their world-class content – all in one place on Sky Q,” the Comcast-owned company said of the Disney deal.
