Sinemia a MoviePass Competitor Launches at $4.99 a Month

MoviePass has quickly changed the way many Americans pay for movies. With a $9.95 a month plan that allows customers o see one movie every day and select movie theaters. Now a new competitor wants to take on MoviePass.

Sinema just announced that they are launching a $4.99 a month subscription movie service. Now Sinemia is hoping that offering different packages will help them stand out from MoviePass without offering the unlimited plans Moviepass has. One of the main ways Sinema wants to stand out is offering the ability to see 3D, 4D, and IMAX movies something Moviepass currently does not do. Sinema will also let you buy advanced tickets days before you want to see a movie something that MoviePass does not let you do.

Here are all the packages Sinemia currently offers.

Sinemia says they pay the full ticket price to movie theaters and makes up the difference by selling ads for movies and restaurants for example. The question now is can Sinemia build the audience needed to support this model. What we do know is that MoviePass and Sinema are forever changing the way Americans watch movies.
