Sideclick Allows you to Control your TV from your Roku, Fire TV, or Apple TV Remote

All in one

If you have ever wanted to control your Roku and your TV from one remote, now you can. The Sideclick is a great little device that slides onto the side of your Fire TV, Roku, or Apple TV remote and turns it into a universal remote. The creators of the Sideclick are hoping a Kickstarter campaign will bring in just about $55,000 over the next 20 days so they can bring it to market.

Jenn Epstein, one of the owners of Sideclick, recently said in an interview with Cord Cutters News, “Yes, our ultimate goal, once funded, is to align ourselves with the best manufacturing partners and expand our line of Sideclicks with all of the popular streaming devices to be able to turn them on quickly.  The reason we started with the 4 that we chose:  Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Amazon Fire TV stick was that, based upon our research, these were the most popular; Roku having sold 10 million units, Apple TV having sold 25 million units, and Amazon simply stating that the Amazon Fire TV and TV Stick is their fastest selling Amazon device EVER.”

When asked about the possibly of additional buttons to offer sleep timer or other options, Jenn said, “We are taking into consideration the comments of our backers to make sure we have our design just right.  For example, we have heard from some backers that they wish we had 2 more buttons that could be programmed for GUIDE Options and ENTER.  We are considering it.  We want to work with our backers to come up with the best button configuration and we’re confident we can do so.”

If they receive the funding they hope to have, all backer orders should be shipped by November 2015, and general sales will occur later in the month.
