Rotten Tomatoes Launches New App for Entertainment Recommendations

Review and recommendations site Rotten Tomatoes announced today the launch of a new app to give users TV and movie recommendations, discover new content, personalize their experience, and engage with other users.

The app includes many of the Rotten Tomatoes features that users already know and love, and some new features to create a more useful experience. In the app, you’ll find Tomatometer and Popcornmeter scores, critic and audience reviews, celebrity interviews, trailers, entertainment news, and more. You’ll also be able to create your own watchlist, rate and review shows and movies, and follow others with the social feature. The app will include an AI assistant element, aRTi, which is currently in beta testing.

“After more than 25 years of helping fans decide what to watch, we’re excited to take that connection even further,” said Amanda Norvell, SVP of Direct-to-Consumer Services at Fandango. “This app is all about making it easier—and more fun—for people to discover content they love, track what they want to watch, dive deeper into their favorite movies and shows, and connect with other fans, friends, critics and influencers along the way.”

“Today is just the beginning of the journey,” Norvell adds. “We look forward to introducing new features and functionality for critics, fans, influencers, talent, and studios in the months to come, as we build on this exciting new discovery and recommendations platform for entertainment lovers.”

The new Rotten Tomatoes app is available now to download on the iOS App Store and pre-order on the Google Play Store. Watch the promo video for the new app, below.
