Roku Sets a New Release Date For Their Wireless Speakers

Back in July, Roku announced a new line of wireless speakers built for Roku TVs. Now we get a release date of November 2018. Originally scheduled for late October, Roku has pushed the release back to November, so the Roku OS 8.2 update can finish rolling out to Roku TVs.

“Picture quality, a tremendous selection of content, value, and ease of use make Roku TVs some of the most popular smart TVs on the market today,” said Roku CEO Anthony Wood. “Adding great audio dramatically enhances the way people experience their favorite entertainment. With Roku TV Wireless Speakers, we’re able to offer our customers a simple and affordable way to further immerse themselves into the TV, movies and music they love, while providing them with a better whole home entertainment experience.”

These new speakers will not only connect wirelessly to your Roku TV, but they will also offer Bluetooth support for streaming from mobile devices, allowing you to listen to your music through your Roku speakers.

You will also be able to buy a Roku controller that will allow Roku owners to program quick access buttons to open any Roku Channel.
