Roku Makes Setting Up New Roku Players & Roku TVs Easier

roku stick plusRoku is the most popular streaming player in the United States, and now they are making setting up a new Roku even easier.

In the past, when you set up your Roku you possibly got a handful of Roku channel suggestions that you wanted to add. Roku has updated its set-up process to help you find a huge catalog of Roku channels based on your interests.

Now after you link your new Roku to your account Roku will ask if you pay for cable or satellite TV. If you select Yes, it will give you suggestions for apps like Spectrum or Comcast. If you select “Yes, but may quit” or “No” it will give you suggestions for apps like Hulu, Sling TV, and PlayStation Vue.

Roku will also ask you if you plan to buy or rent movies. From there Roku will suggest services that rent or sell movies.

Next Roku asks you what your interests are. There, you will find topics like Sports, News, and Free Movies & TV. Based on what you select, Roku will suggest even more Roku channels.

This may seem like a small update, but for new Roku owners this makes finding great Roku channels easier. For new Roku owners who are unsure what to do with their new Roku player or Roku TV, this will help them quickly find a huge catalog of new services to try.
