Roku Just Permanently Dropped the Price for Several of Its Most Popular Players

Back in October 2016 Roku introduced a new line of Roku products. With this line there was the Roku Express, Express+, Premiere, Premiere+, and Ultra.

Now Roku is slashing prices on some of the most popular Roku models: the Roku Premiere, Roku Premiere+, and Roku Ultra.

You can buy them for the following prices:

Roku Ultra for $109.99 (down from $129.99).

Roku Premiere+ for $89.99 (down from $99.99; currently on sale for $79.99).

Roku Premiere for $69.99 (down from $79.99).

The Roku Express, Express+, and Roku Stick are all still the same price. (The Roku Stick is on sale right now for $39.99.)

These are not sale prices. When you go to Roku’s site, you can see the Roku Premiere+ listed on sale as $79.99 (down from $89.99). You can also see this as the default price on many sites including Amazon.

These price drops make Roku players very competitive. Roku’s new line of players are now the same price or less expensive when you look at its main competition.

We are still likely a few months away from any announcement from Amazon or Apple on a new Fire TV and Apple TV. So we will have to wait and see what they do next as Roku continues to apply pressure to its competition.
