One of the most painful parts of getting any streaming player is having to log in to your accounts on Netflix, Hulu, Sling, etc. Roku is making that easier by allowing you to link your Roku with several Roku channels during setup.
By linking your Roku account to Amazon, Hulu, Sling TV, and VUDU—to name a few—when you start your new Roku for the first time you will find you have already been logged in to these Roku channels.
Hopefully this is something more Roku channels will support. While it may not be something you do often, it is a great feature that saves a ton of time setting up new Rokus.
Some other devices do have a similar feature. Android TV has access to the Google password system that is also on Chrome. It will log you in to your apps such as Netflix if you use the Google password saver. Amazon will allow you to link your Fire TV to your Amazon account if you buy it on Amazon.com.
