Roku Has Added Over 79 Free Channels So Far in 2026 — Here’s the Full List

Roku has been on a relentless free content push throughout 2026, steadily expanding The Roku Channel’s free ad-supported lineup month after month — and cord-cutters are reaping the rewards.

The Roku Channel already boasted over 350 free ad-supported television options heading into the new year, but the platform wasted no time growing that number. Six new free ad-supported options quietly arrived in January 2026, and what followed became one of the biggest free content pushes in the platform’s history.

These channels are accessible through The Roku Channel app, which serves as a central hub for free content. Users can simply navigate to the live TV section to start streaming, with no account setup required beyond the initial device activation. All channels are free but supported by periodic advertisements.

The pace of additions has been remarkable. February brought 17 additional free channels covering genres spanning classic sitcoms, animated series, sports, action films, comedy, news, and lifestyle content — all without a single subscription fee. Then March arrived with even bigger energy, with a massive wave of additions introducing over 15 new channels, including National Geographic History, National Geographic Animals, National Geographic Travel, MotoGP, and Property Brothers.

April proved just as strong. The Roku Channel added a diverse array of new free live channels, providing viewers with round-the-clock access to movies, television classics, reality shows, sports, nature programming, and international entertainment without any subscription fees. Film enthusiasts, reality television fans, nature lovers, and sports fans all gained new options, while families benefited from animated series and Spanish-speaking audiences received targeted programming.

In May, The Roku Channel expanded its free streaming lineup once again with 15 new channels delivering fresh entertainment options across genres, giving users instant access to reality programming, creative arts, family-friendly content, sports highlights, breaking news, science education, travel adventures, and more.

Then, just as the 2026 FIFA World Cup approached, Roku made a well-timed move. As the new channels arrived just a few days ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, Roku added four sports-focused channels to meet the needs of sports fans this season. The additions focus heavily on sports and outdoor entertainment, providing viewers with more options for high-quality, ad-supported content without any subscription fees.

At a time when streaming companies have been raising the price of entertainment, Roku has done something unusual — adding more free channels to its service. Free, ad-supported streaming TV is growing rapidly as consumers seek value amid rising subscription prices, and Roku reported record revenue while expecting to surpass 100 million streaming households in 2026.

Here is a full breakdown of all the free channels Roku has added in 2026 by month:

January 2026 (6 channels)

February 2026 (17 channels)

March 2026 (15 channels)

April 2026 (22 channels)

May 2026 (15 channels)
