Roku Finally Acquires @Roku on Twitter

For years Roku, the popular streaming player, has used @RokuPlayer on Twitter. There has been a @Roku but it led to something unrelated to Roku.

Last Friday suddenly @RokuPlayer on Twitter started to push people to @Roku. Understandably some ended up begin confused by this and a few worried that someone was trying to impersonate Roku. Cord Cutters News has confirmed with Roku that they did acquire @Roku on Twitter and are redirecting people to the new account.

In a post on Roku’s old Twitter account, Roku posted this message:

So next time you are looking for that latest from Roku on Twitter make sure to follow them @Roku not @RokuPlayer. Roku’s Facebook and other accounts have not changed and are unlikely to change.
