Report: Formula One Racing Coming to Amazon Prime Channels

Are you a Formula One Racing fan? It has become harder to find a channel to watch many F1 races on. In some countries, Formula One Racing has lost contracts to be aired.

Recently Formula One launched their F1 streaming service, allowing fans to subscribe and stream many of the races. Now reports are out that Amazon and Formula One are in talks to bring F1 Racing to Amazon Prime Channels.

According to DIGIDAY, Formula One plans to bring their races to Amazon Prime in markets that they don’t have TV deals including the United States. (Like for the races not aired on TV in the United States.)

“We want to be one of the smarter channels on the Amazon Prime platform,” said Barnett. “[F1 TV] is part of how we’re building a direct relationship with our fans because that’s always been something that’s run through our promoters or TV partners…. We see F1 TV as an independent revenue stream outside of the relationship with our TV partners.”

Details are still thin, and it is likely F1 will continue to offer their own streaming service, but Amazon Prime Channels is one more way to offer Formula One Racing to fans.
