Reelgood Raises $6.75 Million to Grow Their Content Discovery System For Cord Cutters

woman on tabletReelgood has made it easier for streamers to keep track of the content they’ve watch, find recommendations for what to watch next, and learn where to find the content they’re looking for. Now, the company has raised an additional $6.75 million to continue growing their business.

According to a report from TechCrunch, Reelgood has raised a total of $11 million.

Reelgood is a service that benefits both streamers and businesses. For streamers, the dashboard offers one location to keep track of information from 336 streaming services, including both paid and free services, TV Everywhere services, and premium subscriptions.

With Reelgood, users can search for content, get personalized recommendations, read reviews from other viewers, and easily navigate to streaming services with one click.

For businesses, the value is in the data and customer insights collected by Reelgood. Customers like Roku can use the data to fine tune their own search features. Analysts can use the data to learn more about viewing habits.

While the dashboard is helping to simplify streaming for users, the process of creating and maintaining it are less than simple. Reelgood is using the money from this round of funding to expand the service. TechCrunch reports that the company has deals with five smart TV brands to expand the service to more platforms beginning in 2020.
