Redbox Launches a Free Live TV Streaming Service For Cord Cutters

Redbox, known for their video rental kiosks, now has a live TV streaming service, available for free on the Redbox website and through the Redbox app.

Here’s how Redbox describes the new feature.

Redbox offers Free Live TV with no sign in required. You can watch dozens of popular channels like TMZ, USA Today and FailArmy – including our very own Redbox channels featuring hand-picked collections of our personal favorites. With so much variety, there’s something for everyone.

With a guide similar to other free, ad-supported services like Xumo or STIRR, the new Redbox Free Live TV feature has a guide with content show in categories including Featured Favorites, Comedy, Epic Viral Videos, World & National News, and Celebrity & Entertainment News.

Redbox says this free service is only available to a select audience at this time and will be rolling out soon nationwide.

Redbox launched Redbox On Demand, a streaming video rental service, at the end of 2017. With the on demand feature, users can pay to rent movies and stream them instantly, without a monthly subscription fee.

While the Free Live TV feature is only available on the web and on mobile devices for a select audience now, it will join Redbox On Demand on the Redbox app on these devices:
