PureFlix Announces New Original Shows

PureFlix promotes itself as a family-friendly Netflix-like service which now is doubling down on new original content.

Yesterday PureFlix announced that it is expanding its roster of original content with the addition of the industry’s first Christian sitcom, soap opera, and more.

This fall PureFlix will add “Hilton Head Island,” a soap opera featuring several well-known stars and a comedic series, “Malibu Dan” to its service. All will debut as PureFlix Original Series.

“There’s clearly an appetite for original content in the streaming video world and we decided it was a hunger we needed to feed,” said Greg Gudorf, CEO of PureFlix.com. “Our efforts paid off. Our growing subscriber base gravitates toward original series that are new, fresh and can only be seen on our platform.”

This comes after PureFlix recently launched its new show “Hitting the Breaks” starring David A.R. White with Andrea Logan White, Gianna Simone, Kevin Downes, and others. The new sitcom is about a former racecar driver who relocates his family to Colorado to run a country inn in a town full of colorful characters. Tim Tebow, Rob Schneider, and Carrot Top all make guest appearances.

PureFlix first launched back in 2015 and has slowly been building up its library all with the goal of offering more family-friendly content.
