Pluto TV Is Adding Spanish-Language Channels in July

pluto tv logoCorrection: A representative from Pluto has reached out to let us know that they will not be launching a Spanish version of the streaming service on July 1. However, there will be more Spanish content added to the exisiting Pluto channel lineup.

Pluto TV has become a leader of English-language ad-supported free TV services. Now Pluto TV is launching a Spanish-language version in the US on July 1 and in all of Latin America in 2020.according to a report from FireceVideo

Sadly, we still don’t know much about what content would be included with this new Pluto TV Latino. Viacom does own several Spanish-language channels including MTV Tres and Telefe. It is very possible that Pluto TV would include some content from them similar to the English channels Viacom launched on Pluto TV.

Viacom wants to roll Pluto TV out worldwide and offering a Spanish-language version would go a long way to helping Pluto TV reach new customers around the world.

This news comes as Pluto TV just added channel 77 with a 24/7 stream of classic Doctor Who episodes and channel 78 with 24/7 Antique Roadshow episodes.

Highlights of the free available programming that is included in the BBC/Pluto TV deal: (So far, we can only confirm Doctor Who and Antique Roadshow.)
