Pluto TV Is Expanding Device Support, Launching Pluto Latino, & Launching Internationally

Today Viacom reported its second quarter fiscal 2019 earnings and made a few announcements about Pluto TV. (Note this is a 2019 fiscal quarter, not a calendar quarter.) First, it was announced that Pluto TV now averages about 16 million users on average every month. Viacom also announced that Pluto TV will be coming to “tens of millions” of additional devices in the coming months. Lastly, it was announced that Pluto TV would be expanding internationally in 2019.

Pluto TV Latino

Pluto TV Latino will reportedly launch in July of 2019. It will offer a collection of U.S. Hispanic channels that will be announced at a later date.

Additional Device Support

Sadly Viacom did not say how Pluto TV would expand its device support to “tens of millions” of additional devices. Though you should expect more TV partnerships similar to the partnership Pluto TV and Vizio have.

International Launch

Pluto TV will launch in Latian American sometime in 2019. From there Pluto TV plans to expand into additional territories in 2020. Sadly Viacom did not say which markets will be getting Pluto TV.

This all comes as Pluto TV has announced a deal to bring BBC to the service sometime later this year. Viacom is also adding 14 new channels on Pluto TV featuring content from MTV, BET, Comedy Central, and even Spike TV. Lastly just last month CNN launched on Pluto TV giving Pluto TV even more news option.
