Pluto TV is Coming to France

Today, Pluto TV announced it will be launching in France next month. The Viacom-CBS platform will be rolling out February 8, 2021. France joins a list of other countries where Pluto has expanded, including the U.K., Germany, Austria, and throughout Latin America. The free, ad-supported streaming service has plans to launch in Italy next.

“The launch of Pluto TV in France marks an important step for the growth of our company’s streaming presence in Europe,” Olivier Jollet, SVP Emerging Business ViacomCBS Networks Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, said in a statement.

Most recently, Pluto TV saw a successful launch in Brazil with 27 channels featuring curated content in Portuguese just before the holidays.

“VCNI remains focused on bringing our world-class streaming services to markets around the world,” said Kelly Day, President of Streaming, ViacomCBS Networks International. “Earlier this year, we launched Pluto TV in Latin America and as we continue to build on its success in the region, we fully expect Pluto TV to become a powerhouse streaming entertainment offering in Brazil, where there is already tremendous appetite from audiences for ad-supported premium television.”

Pluto TV reported a reach of 40 million average global monthly users in 2020.
