Pluto TV is Adding More Channels From BET

BET Media Group, a leading multiplatform media company dedicated to serving the Black community, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Pluto TV, a global leader in free ad-supported streaming television. This deepened collaboration aims to bring more premium, culturally resonant programming to audiences, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to celebrating Black culture and storytelling. By leveraging Paramount’s integrated ecosystem, the partnership enhances Pluto TV’s ability to offer high-quality content at no cost while amplifying BET’s reach and influence in the free streaming space.

The BET lineup on Pluto TV includes:

“We are proud to continue growing BET’s FAST portfolio and meet our audiences where they are,” said Louis Carr, President of Media Sales, BET Media Group. “This expansion not only amplifies the stories that reflect and celebrate Black culture, but it also gives our advertising partners new ways to align with premium content in a free and easily accessible format.”

The expanded partnership builds on the success of existing BET-branded channels on Pluto TV, notably BET Tyler Perry Comedy and BET Tyler Perry Drama, which debuted in June 2024. These channels have already garnered over 3 billion hours of streaming, reflecting strong viewer demand for BET’s curated content. The new agreement introduces a fresh channel, BET Comedy Movies, and further enriches the existing lineup, positioning BET as the leading brand for Black consumers in the free market with a total of seven dedicated channels. This milestone not only strengthens viewer engagement but also opens new avenues for advertisers to connect with culturally significant content that resonates with a broad audience.

The BET Comedy Movies channel promises round-the-clock access to hilarious films featuring some of Black culture’s most iconic comedic characters. Viewers can enjoy titles like Men in Black 1-3, Think Like a Man, Scary Movie 1-3, and Senseless, ensuring a steady stream of laughter. Meanwhile, BET Cinema continues to celebrate Black storytelling with a mix of blockbuster hits, independent films, and award-winning documentaries, including Hitch, The Pursuit of Happyness, and Beverly Hills Cop 1-3. BET Visionaries highlights the work of talented Black writers, directors, and creators, showcasing films like The Wood, Top Five, and Harlem Nights.

For fans of nostalgic content, BET Throwbacks revisits the golden era of Black comedy series, featuring shows like Everybody Hates Chris, Girlfriends, and The Steve Harvey Show. Similarly, BET Classics offers timeless sitcoms and variety shows such as Sanford & Son, The Jeffersons, and Moesha, capturing the legacy of Black entertainers who reshaped television. Looking ahead, BET Christmas Movies, set to launch in November, will bring festive cheer with holiday films like Last Holiday, This Christmas, and Sounds of Christmas, delivering heartwarming stories for the whole family.

This strategic alliance underscores the power of collaboration within Paramount’s portfolio, combining BET’s rich content library with Pluto TV’s expansive reach. The partnership not only delivers free, accessible programming but also creates new opportunities for advertisers to align with premium content that celebrates Black excellence. Over the next 12 months, BET Media Group plans to roll out additional free initiatives, further expanding its global footprint and redefining how Black stories are shared with audiences worldwide. This collaboration exemplifies how shared values and complementary strengths can drive meaningful engagement, offering unmatched value to viewers and partners alike.
