Plex is Offering 40% Off of Annual Plex Passes & Launching New Features

It’s time for Plex’s annual Plex Pro Week, and to celebrate, you can get an annual Plex Pass for 40% off now through Friday, September 26. With the deal, an annual pass will cost $41.99 – that’s 12 months for the price of 7.

Along with the deal, Plex has announced two new features. First, users can now follow other users to see when they create a universal watchlist, rate, or review any film or television content. This is just one of many social-based features that Plex is planning, to keep its community engaged. Plex is also integrating Common Sense Media ratings on iOS and Android. The ratings are designed to rate movies, TV shows, and more based on age appropriateness, as a resource for parents.

“We are excited to make it easier for the Plex community to connect with one another, and to find great content for their families, with the roll out of our Follow feature and our new Common Sense media integration,” said Keith Valory, CEO of Plex. “With over 600 free LiveTV channels, 50,000 free on-demand titles, and the ability to universally search and track content across any streaming service, we offer our customers the most comprehensive way to find, discover, and enjoy the content they love. Now we’re well on our way to helping them connect with each other to make more informed decisions about the content they want to watch, all in service of fixing
the streaming struggle.”
