Plex Adds Two Channels to Its Free Streaming Lineup

Two new channels were added to the Plex live TV lineup today. Plex users will now have another option for checking on weather around the country and can tune in for educational and entertaining documentaries.

AccuWeather NOW
AccuWeather NOW delivers all things dedicated to weather including forecasts, dramatic video and exclusive analysis.

Documentary+
Home of world’s best documentaries, from Academy Award winning classics and box office hits to festival darlings and cult favorites.

Accuweather NOW launched this summer, offering 24 hours of continuous daily programming, dedicated to all things weather.

“Our viewers depend on AccuWeather to deliver the most accurate forecast as well as comprehensive and compelling weather coverage of hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, flooding, heat waves and extreme weather of all types that impact and disrupt lives and livelihoods,” said AccuWeather Network General Manager Sarah Katt when the channel launched. “Since not everyone has access to cable, and with more people becoming increasingly more invested in weather and its impact to people, communities and businesses, the launch of AccuWeather NOW is a natural extension of our global weather footprint and six decades of expertise.”

Earlier this year, Documentary+ launched with a curated selection of films for every docu-lover.

“With Documentary+, not only are we building a home for some of the best documentary films of our time, but we’re giving filmmakers another option for distribution as competition continues to increase,” said Bryn Mooser, co-founder of Documentary+.

Live TV on Plex includes 180+ channels. Watch online and on most connected devices including Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Smart TVs, Android and iOS devices, Nvidia Shield, Xbox, and PlayStation.
