Plex Adds 11 New Free Live Channels Including Channels From Amazon’s MGM and More

Plex, the popular free ad-supported streaming service, has announced a significant expansion of its channel offerings, bringing a diverse array of new content to its global audience. The platform, known for its vast library of over 50,000 on-demand titles and 600+ live TV channels, is adding a slate of new channels, including several from Amazon’s MGM catalog, further cementing its position as a go-to destination for free entertainment. The addition of these channels, which include fan-favorite series and niche programming, is set to enhance Plex’s appeal to a wide range of viewers, from sci-fi enthusiasts to sports fans.

The new channels, available immediately across Plex’s supported devices—such as smart TVs, phones, tablets, and gaming consoles—feature a mix of iconic MGM properties and specialized content. This move follows Plex’s ongoing strategy to bolster its free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) offerings, providing viewers with 24/7 access to curated programming without the need for a subscription. According to Plex, the new channels are designed to cater to diverse tastes, offering everything from classic drama to anime and sports-focused content.

Among the highlights are several MGM-branded channels, tapping into the studio’s rich legacy of film and television. The inclusion of “Teen Wolf by MGM” and “Stargate by MGM” will thrill fans of supernatural drama and sci-fi, respectively, with dedicated streams of these beloved series. “MGM Presents” will showcase a rotating selection of premium movies and series, including titles like Capote and Red Dawn, while “American Gladiators by MGM” and “In the Heat of the Night by MGM” bring nostalgic action and classic drama to the lineup. Beyond MGM, Plex is also introducing channels like “Todo Drama,” “AmazionTV Anime TV 24/7,” “Asian Drama,” “The Doctors,” “Overtime,” and “HBCGO Sports,” catering to fans of international drama, anime, health-focused talk shows, and sports entertainment.
