PlayStation Vue Will Soon Stop Accepting New Subscribers

Now that Sony has announced that PlayStation Vue will be shutting down at the beginning of the year, the company is warning that they’ll stop accepting new subscribers to the service soon. So if you have been thinking about giving PlayStation Vue a try to see what it was all about before it goes away you may want to hurry.

Here’s the message that you’ll find when you go to the PlayStation Vue website:

We regret to inform you that Sony Interactive Entertainment is discontinuing the PlayStation Vue service on January 30, 2020.

New trial and paid subscriber sign up will be deactivated on this site in the near future.

Please visit our FAQ page here to see how you might be impacted.  Thank you for the support.

While the service will be running until January 30th, it’s likely that content will be leaving PlayStation Vue much sooner. Recently, Sony recently posted a warning that Crown Media, the parent company of The Hallmark Channel’s contract with Sony, expires in November. Sony also warned that Tastemade will be coming up for renewal in November as well.

If you are currently subscribed to PlayStation Vue, you’ll still have access to the app and your content until the service shuts down in January. If you’re looking for a new streaming service, we have suggestions for you here.
