PlayStation Vue Updates Their Roku Channel With New Features

Yesterday PlayStation Vue rolled out a new update for their Roku Channel that included several new features. These features include updated menus, new favorite feature, (similar to what the Fire TV recently received), and backend improvements.

Sony has yet to officially announce these changes but here is what we have been able to work out.

Favorites

Similar to what has been available on other devices like the Fire TV the Roku version of PlayStation Vue has added favorites. Now you can pick your favorite TV shows and stations to show up first. No longer will you need to scroll through a long list of channels to pick out 4 or 5 channels you want they can all be in the same place at the front of your guide.

You can also pick which TV shows you want to see at the start of your list.

On-Demand

With this update, you will also find the on-demand section moved to the main menu. This change makes finding on-demand content far easier on Roku players.

Backend Updates

Details are thin here, but it looks like Sony has made some changes to the backend to improve streaming. Several readers have reported an improved streaming experience.
