PlayStation Vue Removes the On-Demand Section & Search from Some Devices

Playstation Vue LogoIf you are hanging around PlayStation Vue until it shuts down, you may have noticed a few missing features today. Yesterday Sony removed several features from its apps including the on-demand section and the ability to search on some devices.

Sony has not commented on why the changes have been made. Although you may still see the search icon, it is currently not returning any results when you actually try to search.

The good news is most of the on-demand content is still there, but it is just a lot harder to find. Now you must go to the channel’s home page and look for the show you want to watch on-demand. Sadly, the easy-to-find central location for all things on demand is now gone.

With a little over two months to go until PlayStation Vue shuts down, this sudden end of support has caught many off guard. Sony has not issued any statements about the changes and with their history, they probably won’t.

Hopefully, this is just a short-term issue and Sony will soon return these features to PlayStation Vue.
