PlayStation Vue Removes its Warning About The Hallmark Channel Leaving

Recently Sony announced it’s shutting down its live TV streaming service PlayStation Vue. The shutdown will happen on January 30th, 2020. It had been reported that Sony would be letting all contracts expiring between now and January 30th go including the deal to keep The Hallmark Channel on PlayStation Vue.

Last month Sony posted a warning that Crown Media’s contract, the parent company of The Hallmark Channel with Sony, expires in November. Sony also warned that Tastemade will be coming up for renewal in November as well. Now Sony has removed the warnings about Crown Media and Tastemade from its website.

From the looks of it, Sony has come up with a short term deal to keep The Hallmark Channel on PlayStation Vue until the service shuts down in January 2020.

It is very possible that over the next few months PlayStation Vue will still slowly lose channels as contracts come to an end. The good news is many contracts like the ones with NBCUniversal and Disney have recently been renewed. So many of the most popular channels should be on PlayStation Vue until it shuts down on January 30th, 2019.
